Recent events in the Metro have shown that truly, it's so much better to buy and be able to give at the same time. This Christmas, be able to do just that at the Yuletide Souk: A Big Red Bazaar on November 7 and 8 at the Rockwell Tent.
As you grace yourself through the latest trends, the yummiest goodies, and the nicest bazaaristas, you're already helping several communities around the Philippines. Yep, that's right!
The Yuletide Souk is a charity bazaar that offers the best-est goods from around the city and even the best-est ones from outside Manila. It is a fundraiser for the various partner communities of Got Heart Foundation, a non-stock, non-profit organization that aims to celebrate sustainable, holistic, independent, and dignified communities of indigenous peoples, farmers, and women, among others.
Come and find yourself enjoying the treasures being offered by the best and the newest entrepreneurs - Smitten Accessories, Olivia and Fifth, Moonshine Garb, and BC Manila to name a few!
Several social entrepreneurs will also be present such as Chains for Change, which creates the most vogue bags from usual ukay-ukay clothes for the benefit of families in the Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa. According to the buzz, they'll be having a new collection!
On November 7 at the same venue, Got Heart Foundation will also be launching The Got Heart 2010 Planner, a special planner that advocates the culture and rights of the indigenous peoples (IPs). You might think that this is the usual planner with photo compilations of the IPs, but wait till you see it! It features the surrealistic paintings of Retchor "Ettok" Umpan, an Obo Manobo, on twelve different IP groups. The Planner also has different activities that will allow you to discover more about our IPs in fun and light ways.
